2022 by Design 'Make | Believe' Challenge
In Partnership with the Marywood University International Interior Design Association Campus Center
What would make your ideal place to be creative? Has the world pandemic changed any of your thoughts on how you create? What are your needs? Would you need solitude, or to be around people? Would you wish for a place to exhibit, perform, or record as well? Think about comfort, materials, proportion, etc. How do you show this? Is it a drawing, a painting, a sculpture, a photo, a computer model, an animation, a poem, a song…its all up to you. Allow yourself to be as creative as possible, and through the process be aware of what might help you to be more creative along the way. Knowing what you need to create will only help you in the future to consider what other people might need for their own spaces. Over a 6 week period working virtually on a weekly basis with University Design Student Mentors you will craft your ideal space, or element of a space, that would allow you the freedom to be your most creative self. Our team of esteemed judges will select a number of student entries to be exhibited at the world's largest home furnishings trade show, High Point Market in April of 2022. This exhibition will be seen by some of the design industries leaders, as well as manufacturers, retailers, designers, and celebrities from around the world. |
